The DARS Community Rehabilitation Case Management Services (CRCMS) Program assists people with severe physical and sensory disabilities to build a quality of life of their choosing through self-direction, support, and community resources. CRCMS Rehabilitation Specialists provide individualized long-term case management to people across the Commonwealth, as well as outreach and support services to residents of nursing facilities. CRCMS also provides Support Coordination Services to recipients of Virginia's Development Disabilities Medicaid Waiver. The Talking Book Center provides free audio books and other library services and resources to persons who are blind, print disabled, or unable to use standard printed materials. These digital audio books are professionally recorded through the National Library Service program, and they offer a wide array of subjects, both fiction and non-fiction, including bestsellers, classics, mysteries, westerns, biographies, history, health, science, and children's books. Audio magazines, braille magazines, access to braille books, and books in several foreign languages are also available. The TBC also partners with the Bureau of Engraving and Printing to offer iBill readers to residents. iBill Readers are devices that allow blind and low vision community members to distinguish the difference in paper currency.

NFB-NEWSLINE is a free service available to anyone who is blind, visually impaired or print-disabled that offers access to more than 500 publications, emergency weather alerts, job listings, and more.

The Alexandria Library's Talking Book Department offers services to Alexandria city residents who are print disabled: people who are blind, visually impaired, physically challenged, or have a reading disability (such as dyslexia) that prevents them from reading even large print books in print format
