Serves as a clearing house for missing and exploited children. Offers programs for at-risk youth which include Project Safe Place and the Runaway Shelter. Link House is for adolescent females ages 12 to 18 in state custody. Youth may be delinquent, unruly, or dependent and neglected. They typically exhibit emotional and/or behavioral problems from unmet needs during early childhood that may be coupled with past instances of emotional, physical and/or sexual abuse. Daily structured program seeks to build on identified strengths of each youth. The program strongly encourages family involvement to achieve the ultimate goal of family reunification. Independent living or foster family care may be sought for youth with no viable family resource. Assessment and observation services for state custody youth on referral by the Tennessee Department of Children's Services. Services include Daily Life Skills Group; Individual, Group & Family Counseling; Independent Living Skills; Therapeutic Recreation; Substance Abuse Counseling; Family Reunification; and Aftercare Services. Also, Link House offers Oasis @ Link House Residential observation and assessment program for court-ordered adolescent females ages 12 to 17. This 30-45 day program provides comprehensive assessment of the youth to determine treatment needs, which assists the courts with placement decisions. Services include Individual, Group & Family Counseling; Daily Life Skills Groups; Therapeutic Recreational Activities; Case Management; and Family Involvement. Link House also provides Project Safe Place Phone: 877-288-1828, providing temporary, emergency shelter and counseling to youth who are runaways, throw-aways, or are escaping unresolved family conflicts. This nationwide program is the only one of its kind within a 100-mile radius where youth can seek 72-hour sanctuary. The goal of the program is to intervene quickly, and assist the youth and their family with reunification. As an outreach of Link House, Runaway Program & Project Safe Place offers emergency shelter and crisis intervention services for runaway, homeless, and throw-away youth and seeks to educate youth to access services through Link House instead of running away and possibly facing uncertain dangers on the streets.

In order for Senior Alert to be activated: *Individuals whereabouts must be unknown. *Individual is over 60 years of age. *Individual suffers cognitive impairment to extent that he/she is unable to care for themselves without assistance (including a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia). *Individuals disappearance poses credible threat to his/her health and safety as determined by law-enforcement. Other criteria: *Law enforcement investigation has verified individual is missing and eliminated alternative explanations. *Sufficient information regarding missing individual is available to disseminate to public. *Missing senior adult must be entered into Virginia Criminal Information Network (VCIN), the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) missing person files and information reported to the Virginia Missing Person Information Clearinghouse. *Photograph of individual must be provided to Virginia Missing Person Information Clearinghouse. If all of above criteria are not met, Virginia "Senior Alert" Plan will not be activated; however, information may still be provided to media.
