Respite Care - Cedar Bluff, Appalachian Agency for Senior Citizens

Provides the at home caregiver of an eligible patient time off from his/her duties. The program helps to maintain the health and well-being of the patient and the caregiver. This respite program can provide up to 720 hours per year for qualified patients in the Medicaid program. Provides caregivers with relief from care giving duties in an effort to maintain a quality life, independence, and the prevention of premature institutionalization. These duties include meal preparation, shopping assistance, light housekeeping and supervision. There are also Support Group Meetings provided for caregivers. This program helps to maintain the health and well being of the patient and the caregiver.
