Mentoring Services - Chantilly, For Children's Sake of Virginia

Mentoring is provided to at-risk youth, 4-21 years of age. Mentors serve as supportive positive role models for youth who may exhibit emotional or social behavioral difficulties which may interfere with their ability to interact appropriately within the community. Resource Mothers - Bland, Bland County Health Department

Resource Mothers is a program in which an outreach worker becomes a support person for pregnant and parenting teens. Any pregnant teen, 19 years or younger, is eligible for the program. These staff encourage the teens to complete education and build a future for themselves by providing parenting education, connecting teens to available resources, and teaching them about the care of a newborn/infant. They also provide car seat instruction and demonstration.
