The Loving Steps Program in Norfolk, Virginia is part of the Virginia Healthy Start Initiative. The goal of the program is to help make sure every baby has a healthy start in life. The program has a nurse and community health workers who visit with enrolled women and their families during the prenatal, postpartum and early parenting phases of life. If you are a pregnant woman or a new mother in the Norfolk area, a Loving Steps team member can meet with you at least once a month until your baby turns two years old! She will work to get you the services you need, answer your questions, and teach you about taking care of yourself and your baby!
